Do they come in different frequencies at all? I have an AV transmitter at the moment transmitting foxtel into my bedroom from the lounge but after setting up wireless net, im having issues. Basically the wireless wont work with the AV transmitter and vice versa because they're both running at the same frequency (i think its 2.6ghz off the top of my head) so they're disrupting each other.
So are they available in different frequencies and where can I buy them (mine came from dick smiths but it was the only they had I think)?
The standard is 2.4 i think. I'm pretty sure you can get them in 5.8 but theyre heaps more expensive.
I had issues with my wifi network and av transmitter too but i played with which channel each of them used and eventually got them both working together. Could be something for you to look at?
^^^ thats right, they do come in a 5.8ghz but they cost about 3 or 4 times as much.
My brother has cordless land line phone, wireless internet and AV transmitter all running on 2.4 and doesnt have any problems, so its definately possible to have it all going together
There are no stupid questions, just stupid people
Yeah I use a cordless phone also but it doesnt seem to interfere.
I'll have a fiddle with the wifi and see if i can switch channels.
Try changing the channel on your wireless router if you have a router.
