QLD radar facing question

my mate was doin 70 in a 60 zone and saw a 4wd radar as he got to it. it was facing him on the opposite side of the road. what he needs to know is if its facing you, will he get done?? he thinks its usually in that snorkle which has the opening on the other side. he doesnt know if there was a flash or not. i told him he's a wanker lol.

the qld speed cammer is a multi directional cammera. the direction the car faces has nothing to do with the direction of traffic it is taking happy snaps of.

for example, i was unlucky enough to get doen for speeding myself the other day. im dumb and didnt see the speed zoen drop. as a result i was flashed, high 70kmph in a 60 zone. the speed cammera was on the other side of the road.

the direction the snorkle is facing in the 4wd type is the direction of traffic it is getting, it can get cars aproching or passing or threw it. regardless of which part of the road it;'s sitting on.

all you can do is play thw waiting game and see what turns up in the mail.

so you were going towards it and the snorkle facing forwards? cause i drove past it after he told me and it was facing backwards. not pointing at him coming along

the flash is in the snorkle, so the way it's facing is the way it's gonna get people,

for example, if it's sitting on the gate way motorway, facing north, it will get people as it passed them heading north, and people that aproach it heading south.

so it'll get you going towards the front of the vehicle if the snorkle is facing backwards as well as towards the open side of the snorkle
