Guys, need some help from some of you WA members please.
We are contemplating taking up a job offer by a 3pl company in where my wages will double. Problem is the job is in Perth, yay.
If i was to take this offer i would be looking at buying a house to later lease out after 2 years. A few things i want to know are:
Best place to buy or build, best place to lease to tenants. I want no bogans and minimal crime area. Money isn't really an issue for affordability either. Travel distance/time to CBD etc.
Any help would be appreciated.

Subiaco, Tuart Hill, East Perth. These are a few of the areas that are experiencing good tenancy rates and good growth at the moment. As you probably know, the real estate market changes all the time. How soon are you looking at making the move?

Canley Vale was nice, was over there 2 weekends ago. Visiting my uncles new house, Seemed to be a nice area. He dosnt bother locking the cars!
Didnt go to the city, but was about 20min from the airport.
Nice houses, freindly neighbours! too.
Dont know much about the other areas though too compare too!
Im probly wrong so dont listen to me
It's CANNING VALE! Hehehe, Minux, this is a really good suburb. There's a lot of existing (if pre-owned, houses aren't very old at all) and also a lot of new estates being tossed up all over Canning Vale. This is one booming suburb. Holds good value and not really many bogans. My olds built in Canning Vale and there house has gone up almost $100K in just under 2 years.

If money is no object, take out a penthouse condo in the Perth CBD.
Live large minux, caviar, lobster, room service even the odd lap dance.
You only live once.
good one NAAF - i was thinkin lockridge, girrawheen, koondoola myself, forgot about poor old balga....just look at the names and it says it all.
depending what ur after in style of house/yard - 4 x 2 - 3 x 2 etc do u have kids - then might need backyard space - but i agree Canning Vale is now a huge locality and close to freeway to city and south the mandurah and the south west...
look at shelley, ardross, bicton, karryinup, north beach, sorrento, marmion, there's heaps minux, if price isn't a concern....
Yep, I was thinking of Mindarie/Merriwa area.

Bunbury is better than Perth any day of the week anyway....
Hey Mate what about, Scarbora, Mosmon park, manduara (think someone already said that), Como, these are all good areas, in WA..
Mandurah??? It's a retirement village..lol...Ok...yeah minux, move to Mandurah.
The penthouse is the footpath, everyone else is gutter level.
You can talk living in Cronulla....
kwinanna , LOL
I actually live in a neighbouring suburb near Cronulla, I don't put the real suburb so I can avoid people having a look at the forums for a shopping list.
But anyway, I wasn't having a go at Perth, just saying the city is relatively small. I can't imagine there are too many high rise penthouses in Perth.
I was joking...
You would be surprised at what Perth has. Many multi million dollar penthouses and apartments here.
minux... just a little advice if you happen to ever want to live in canberra... stay away from charnwood, swinger hill and quangers (queanbeyan). bogan cantral!![]()
