Nokia restriction code? please help

g'day, i got given this phone by a mate yesterday but im on telstra and its a 3 phone. its one of them new nokia slide phones. when i put my sim in there it says enter restriction code. is there anyway to by pass this or get it removed??

Sounds like the phone is locked to 3. It would need the codes from 3. If it was on a plan then there should be no charge for getting them.

if its a nokia then codes are too easy to get, even my mum was able to get them by searching google as far as im aware.. providers charge like $50 to unlock them. google is your friend
