Righto quick rant.

Anyone with half a brain knows where to find out about their political choices and decide who they vote for based on whatever it is that floats their boat.\. Those who share half a brain probably fudge the vote anyway.
So....
Why do our local members feel the need to bombard us with their crap? If you know what you are looking for in a representative then chances are you don't read it anyway.

I encourage people to write "return to sender" on each and every piece of mail from these people and drop it back in the box. If you feel the need stick the oppositions catch-phrase on the back to give them a laugh.

End.

JC:

The reason why there are political advertising is because it works. And if politicians didn't advertise agressively, over 80% of the electorate would be totally uninformed. It is either people are too busy with everyday life demands, or they are simply not interested in politics. Either way, voting is not high on the agenda of the average Joe and Jackie. Take a politician that advertises and another that does not then take a wild guess who is most likely to win the elections.
