    Default Ricer rage

First off...C'mon fellas, let's get the voting poll back on track. Let's cease and desist in regards to all the flak being shot around.

Let me tell you a funny story that's sort of related to the way the voting thread is heading.

I was sitting at Rosamond rd and Ballarat rd waiting for the light with both my girls. I'd just picked them up from school. An idiot in one of those Sylvia's pulled up in the left turn only lane. He kept glancing at me and then at the light. 'Ah', I thought he's gong to race me when the light turns green. Sure enough, this hoon wasn't going to turn left and as soon as the light changed he accelerated hard forwards. I also accelerated hard just to **** him off. Even though, I've only a paltry six in my Calais, I made him work hard to get in front just before a parked car blocked his path.

When he did get in front, he stopped dead in the middle of the road. He then proceeded to drive at about 10-15kphs in front of me. Turns out we were both going the same way and when we were both sitting waiting to turn left near the Western Bulldog's ground. He got out of his car and walked back to my car. I opened my window and when he came up to my car his predictable response was: 'Hey, you fat old ****, what is your problem?'

By this time, both my kids (young teens) started openly laughing at him (at least I think they were laughing at him and not at what he said) He stood there with his mouth opening and closing like a fish out of water and then red faced went back to his car.

Anyway, just a bit of levity to hopefully show that we can all get along and shouldn't be afraid of discussing anything without it turning personal and into WW3.

I hope in the near future he hits the parked car and makes the world a smarter place.

    Hmmm....
Yeh that was a bit weird but the thing i found stupider is that you would race someone on a public road with 2 ppl (your own children) in the car.
Not only endangering lives but also teaching your girls that racing idiots an acceptable thing to do.
I hope for your sake that when your kids are driving they don't copy your antics and get them selves into trouble.
If the guy in the Silvia wanted to be a moron then you let him and keep as far away as possible, and give your girls a good role model.
I value my life and the lives of my family (and my car) to risk it doing something stupid.

His kids werent in the car at the time, this happened on the way to pick them up. Personally, at lights when i see a merging lane up ahead, i always get twits try and race me to get in front so they can merge in front of me. I love keeping up with them so it forces them to either slow down or stop entirely.

Oh so he wasn't racing just trying block someone...... that so much better.
Call it what you want it was dangerous driving that was not necessary.
Its not our job to teach ppl lessons, if ya gonna do stupid things that can potentially cause accidents on purpose than your just as half-witted as the persons you were "blocking".

so what if this fool caused an accident because of the illegal thing he was doing?By doing what he did could have saved them from an accident.

The intention was to **** off the guy, not to stop an accident.
I don't even see how by trying to block someone you could prevent an accident, you are more likely to cause an accident!!
You drive off normally let the guy take off and get in front and then there gone and done.
But by all means if you wanna be a hero and try and stop ppl being stupid by doing something equally stupid then by all means go ahead.

I have a hefty piece of hardened steel in my drivers door map pocket for "confontational" drivers. It's one of those towing/tie down hooks that they screw into the bumpers of new cars when transporting. I picked it up when I was working in the parts dept of a Toyota Dealership. It will make a rather nice cut and/or dent on the side of their face before they hit the pavement...

I haven't had to use it but I've reached for it a couple of times before. One time I was even tempted to throw it out the window to hit the 'P' plater that was almost rubbing the paint off my rear bumper at 100km/h... tell me young people are smart.. I &#&$ing dare you.

Yeah, *sigh* guilty as charged your honour. Not actually racing, though, basically just driving the same speed as him to make it difficult for him. Mmm, me tinks I'm splitting hairs.

In my defence, though, my girls were spurring me on.

i had an incident sorta similar last year. i was driving home from work, crossing an open 4lane bridge, looked in my mirror and saw a 4x4 (usure what kind) absolutely BELTING up the road the same direction I was heading. ontop of this, he was also swerving from lane to lane narrowly missing other cars. i thought i'd be clever and sped up and slowed down again as i came to anothercar going same way - rolling roadblock.
traffic lights ahead, we stopped and he run up onto the median and blocked me from moving. got of of his car spouting some **** about being a smartass and blocking him, he opened my door, then saw the line of about 100 other cars behind me.
in hindsight i should have just driven round (or over) him and kept going home.

also, where i used to live, we'd always have tools in little 4pot buzzboxes pull into the merge lane at traffic lights, then floor it to get infront of the traffic. i saw numerous paint swaps from this breed of moron

Who hasn't done this before lol I know I have! Call me a hoon, irresponsible etc. I don't give a stuff. You get a smartarse pull up beside you try to overtake on the inside and merge in front of you when its not at all necessary they are just being a wanker what else are you going to do? You put your foot down and block the dumb son of a bitch and make them hit the brakes and merge behind you. If anyone thinks I am going to go all driving miss daisy slow so some smartarse can try to pull in front of me they better think again lol
