Anyone here into RC cars? If so, what type and what do you use it for?

Ive got one of these:



Its a 1/8th Scale, petrol powered HRT VY V8 Supercar. Its got a 200mm wide chassis, adjustable ride height, adjustable toe in/out front and rear, 4 wheel drive, Fail Safe (added), 2 gears (added), wider tyres with tread (added) and a temperature gauge (added).





I use it for racing around in car parks and occasionally ill wrap the rear tyres in electrical tape and disconnect the drive to the front wheels and drift it round, oh and i have to fix it all the time cause it keeps getting broken, infact its broken now.

my current toy is a full custom iwaver 02m. its a 1/28 fm rc car. ive swapped to better am elecs(the stock fm stuff is crap, theyre still working out bugs). custom carbon fibre chassis, all alloy parts. does pretty good. its just a mess around car, coz i cant be bothered driving to melb every weekend(and i work weekends anyway) to race with others.

also have a 1/10 nitro holden ute, but havent used it in ages, got a tamiya hotshot in bits. gonna get a reproduction one and stick the old good bits on it.

I had an electric 1/10th scale tommi lancer evo 6 rallycar for a while before i kept blowing motors and speed controls and gave up on it.
I had an 18 doudle turn by the time i got rid of it and it went pretty hard rof an electric one back in the day.

Then i ended up getting a petrol traxxis revo, its a mix between a monster truck and stadium truck.
got a bigger .23 motor and exhaust/carby for it straight up with a better gear ratio, and upgraded all the front suspension and bashplate/ front bar to make it a bit more hard wearing.
It doesn't run anymore, needs a good clean and tune, haven't used it in quite a while.

i have a 1/8 Hpi Savage SS

just for mucking around, have roll cage now fitted after many flips when going straight to full throttle, and using spektrum radioset.

i had one of those hrt cars but i threw in a 21 and 2 speed box.. it was good for chewing threw drive belts lol it took off faster then most electrics...

also have a 1/8 xtm buggy with a 8 port 25 it full alloy everything and carbon fiber bits its goes good

Heres my car its a nitro 1/10 WRX made from GV models had 2 build it from scratch wasnt 2 hard 2 do, goes pretty hard only 1 speed but AWD which is great fun i can go newhere with it. supposedly does 90kms but i dunno wouldnt mind gettin it tested. only mod ive dun is put new rims on it that had slightly wider tyres on it.

i've got a 1:10 scale 4x4 buggy which used to rip the street up alright, flipped it a few too many times into poles, blew a diff gear on it, punctured fuel lines etc etc now don't use it

also got a 1:8 scale CEN Genesis, exactly the same as below, got a massive .46 engine in it, that absolutely ripped anything to shreads, really fast, pulled mono's off a standing start, but i ripped the pull starter out accidentally and haven't gotten around to getting a roto-start for it. i really should as they're heaps fun!

200mm, unpainted, come with stickers. no window masks for inside and no overspray film on the outside. they also have a rear wing and sperate rear bumper. i can take some pics if you like

15 bucks plus postage. i cant see postage being anymore then a few bucks for a post bag. if you are keen let me know.

use to have a 1/10 size 1/4 mile painted out the fron of my house cos i had a friend with a rc car too we use to race till i got the 2 speen in and have also been fidleing with a 25 rc plane engine and been trying to get that into my rc car it all fits but i need a shaft that fit from my crank to the the clutch dunno were to get 1 but i might make an adapter 1 day good fun haha

I've got the ultimate. Schumacher Fusion.
1/10 scale with .21 engine and 3 speed box. Capable of 140kmh with the right gearing.
An absolute missile and not easy to control.

Got a 3.3 TRX Traxxas T-maxx . Awsome 4x4 truck, does good speed, faster then a lot of cars, handling is average, can drive over most things. Currently broking lol. Unlimited upgrades, and parts, is really like a car, has 2 forward gears plus reverse.

Sorry they wont fit on mine, mine 225mm IIRC wide, pain in the ass to get shells for, i did make a 200mm corvette fit once but it looks ****house.

Yeah mines the same as urs its a pain mines the 220mm wide body shell not alot of shells available 4 these

i still havent put a picture up of mine yet. at the moment i am running a lambo gallardo shell which looks like a barbie mobile. it is pink with rainbow flake in it. i just used some old cans and slapped it together.

as soon as i get off my arse i will have a lambo with purple/green changing paint with rainbow flake. it should look pretty sweet i reckon.

Im thinkin of selling mine so if anyones keen ill post up details tonight. Will be selling it cheap as i dont use it any more and someone else may aswell have some fun with it. I thinks its a Kyosho FW05T or S with a BMW body and everything you need to get started. Ill let ya's know tonight
