Melb to Canberra Trip
Hey guys
Going away to Canberra for the holidays, has anyone done the trip, what route should I take?

Take the M1, the whole way. I used to do this trip every year, sometimes a few times a year.
Don't speed, even if you're in a queue of cars speeding. If you have P plates, you'll be the first person to get nabbed.
It's about a 7 hour drive.

ive driven to albury from canberra, it is boring as bat ****.
how long do you plan on staying in canberra? are you coming up for summernats?

Going just before the Nats, I'm trying to stay at my friends house an extra couple of days for the Nats... probably just staying for 4-5 days, seeing and catching up with my mates up there

Watch the coppers they will be all over the hi way leading up to the nats and after. I travel to Geelong every year it takes me 8 hrs to get the from Canberra if that any help

Via Albury is probably the fastest but via Perth would be far more scenic.

yeh albury way will be quickist, unless you can come up from the south coast for the scenery, that will take alot longer but not as long as perth haha
