Contiki tour

Me and a few mates are thinking of doing it next year. I was just after some ideas of good places to go, general advice for planning it and just your experiences. Also approximate costs.

I will have 3 weeks of annual leave so no longer than that. I would like to go anywhere that's not cold or asia (no racist).

Yeh that's the main reason America is at the top of my list. Spain is also up there. Europe is expensive and i'm a tight arse.

Pretty boring tour for you then huh? A previous boss went on one once and wouldn't shut up about it. I have heard they are a lot of fun but have never done one myself though.

My sister just went on a 2 week one through Europe. She was one of a few couples in the group and their group was over populated with guys, mostly south africans. Apparently certain times of the year are better to go for different balances of guys/girls. If you're not into heavy drinking then they probably aren't a good idea.

Don't think asking before booking helps as they book so far in advance you don't know the final makeup of the group. I vaguely remember being told that they might not be able to tell you anyway.

No need to do a contiki type tour in the US. Your cousin was spot on.

I went a few years ago on a snowboarding trip to canada, then went down to the US for a few weeks. Never in my life have I had so many women approach me, without me even so much as glance in their direction.

As soon as they hear the accent, they come flocking over. I'm no looker but I didn't have any troubles finding women most times I went out.

Europe is a little more difficult, but the women are a bit more attractive than americans.... Canadians are a different story

Back on the topic of Contiki tours, I've done one in NZ, it was great fun, want to get over to europe and do one for a month. Just make sure you don't drink for a while before you head over, or be prepared to have a month long hangover after the trip. It's non-stop drinking the whole time you're on the things.

haha, not at all, was bloody awesome.
I was the same when i got back, i couldnt shut up about it for months lol

If you want to do northern America... Canada is alot better IMO, heaps better sight seeing, snow, friendly people etc etc and the legal drinking age is 19

If you're after the warm countries in europe with attractive women Spain, Portugal, Greek Isles, and Southern Italy are the places to go.

Northern Europe Austria, Switzerland, Sweden and Czech are the places to be.

For the most fun in Europe, not just women, Germany, Czech, Sweden, UK, Greek Isles are probably the best places to go.

Thanks man. It's pretty hard trying to decide on places. Everyone wants to go to different countries. The only common denominator is Spain lol. Octoberfest might be a good option.
