anyone got or had Regal tyres? need opinion on wheels too

Apparantly they are made by Dunlop in South Africa. just in the process of which tyres to buy as i want to get a package of 19 inch wheels and tyres.
Wheels i like are ANZ Tazer wheels Wheel Gallery from The Tyre Factory, Ian Diffen The Tyre Factory, City Discount Tyres any got any pros and cons on the wheels/tyres before i buy?

Nice wheels. Will look quite nice on the Calais. As for the tyres well, if it were me I'd cough up the extra for decent rubber.

Couldn't agree more. Why pay $$ for cheap, for a little more you can get some decent rubber. Don't buy the story of "i have sold these to guys in fast cars who love how much traction they get and the handling is great" its all rubbish.
These places usually pick up incentives for selling this crap rubber.

I learnt my lesson buying cheap rubbish tyres ($125 for 17" Falken) and never again. Always stick to a brand with a good reputation and remember, with tyres, you get what you pay for.

ok so what are a good tyre in a 19inch? i would have thought Regal may have been good being a Dunlop brand?

Just because they are made by Dunlop in SA doesn't make them good. Buy a tyre thats been developed for this country, not another.

If you want Dunlop buy some SP Maxx, if that is out of your price range try the kumho's.

Can i ask where you are buying these wheels and having them fitted?

got them today from the Tyre Factory Geelong with Marangoni tyres.Motor magazines tyre of the year made in Italy! Hope they will be good?

HAH, i refuse to buy from that place.

Marangoni is ok, but i still prefer what i use.

He tried telling me that he has customers in 400rwkw XR6 turbos who cant break traction with them. Made me laugh.

He was very busy today and also yesterday when i dropped in so he must be doing someting right!
He could do with a lesson on how to communicate with customers instead of addressing them as MAN but apart from that a good deal was i think and very happy with the look.
