Default Saw this accident last night, was INTENSE!!!

Pair trapped after spectacular crash | Herald Sun

Happened about a 30 second drive from my house, was up at the supermarket and as i came out BOOM over it went, myself and my mother called the cops and ambo's while we all rushed over to see if they were ok, we didn't know what to do though so we waited for the fire brigade to come in case the car was gonna blow.

Was frickin intense. But at least it wasn't a commodore copping the bad rep, but i guess commodores copped it the other day with those idiots in altona in the vn / vp with the sv5000 rims on the front and the interceptors on the rear.

Read about that accident this morning, it seems last night was a night for idiots, guy hit a pole near us at around 70...in a 50 zone. Wrote off his car.

Do you think there would be any difference in the end result if an idiot driver crashes at 50 or 70? Did the speed cause the accident or the idiocy?

Both, i can barely take this corner at 50 in the Senator, this guy is in a VR commodore which is stock(berlina), doing 70 is just asking for trouble. The same group of idiots do the same thing night after night after night. Advisory signs are posted at 40 km/h. I am only basing the 70 km/h on the minimum speed as calculated by police.

So the speeding caused the accident which was in turn caused by the idiocy.

Yeah I hate knobjockeys taking corners at ridiculous speeds, seen a few too many near misses when idiots think their car is on rails!!!

It's funny, in my area (ferntree gully), you rarely see (and i'm not just saying this because this is commodore forum and i drive a commodore) a commodore doing burnouts and screaming around like a lunatic, but you always see EB falcons and AU XR8 utes and sedans and the rice box's going spastic.

My street is a wide, long and winding, and the street that comes in from my end basically loops into it nicely, my house is the second house from that corner, and when i'm sitting at my computer, it looks out onto the street from the study window.

It's always the ricers that do it, and more falcons than commodores. Sure you get the occasional commodore, but it's more falcons than commodores. In the wet i am very very cautious when i pull out of my driveway on a friday or saturday night because of this stupid r31 skyline that is off it's head, and he always comes belting into the corner sideways and you hear his turbo spooling from in my kitchen.

It's the week for pursuits as well. There have been a handful of real big ones over the last 48 hours.

Nope i have no idea where that is, i have lived here only a year, i sort of stick to direct routes, haven't cruised the streets much. My relo's live close by and my mates all live towards the city.

But yeah definantly more fords hooning around. Most of them aren't p platers either.

Tonight as i was going to my sisters a White AU Ute as we came to the lights at the Sunshine hospital where they have just stuck new ones in, This ute came from the far left into the lane behind me then into the turning lane then straight ahead through the red light like it was green..

And this does **** me as all you cop from the one eyed ford guys is Holden drivers are morons they always crash they are irresponsible they are bogans.

But for that car to skid for 120 meters with ABS it had to have been moving a pretty fast speed, I skidded about 40 meters with no back brakes doing 85 when i had my accident last year.

If the car was skidding, it didn't have ABS. We did skidpan days where we hit the skidpan at 180 km/h ABS worked perfectly, no lockups. So obviously this moron had the ABS fuse pulled or didnt have it..

Same here in Ipswich. The worst hoons here are in EA EB Falcons. Infact I saw one one time hooning around with a nice big impression of a power pole in his side door, he must of hit the pole pretty hard as the depression was about half a foot deep but he was still thrashing the car around everywhere. Some of these idiots obviously dont even care, if I was hooning around and hit a power pole I would call it quits after that and thank my lucky stars I was still alive.
Im not a complete idiot, some parts are still on backorder!

Don't get me wrong, there are still quite a few knobs in my area in holdens that scream around, but i tend to notice more fords doing it.

I'm not gonna say i have never given my car a little bit of a hiding, but i don't plant the foot at every set of lights and drag every tom, dick and harry with a V6.

I'd like my engine to last, and BP ultimate hasn't dropped below a $1.50 a litre everytime i have filled up in the last month or so, so really i don't wish to chomp through petrol either. I have been making a tank last a bit over a week lately. Not too shabby IMO.

    Both.

There was one that started over in Endeavour Hills, went up the Monash to Wellington Road, got terminated due to high speed but continued to be tracked by the air wing.

Stopped and arrested in Bacchus Marsh.

Iv figured with ford drivers that they know ford cars in general modified or stock all have a reputation of being pieces of **** so they always gotta prove that wrong and what better way than flooging them around like v8 supercars but i dont know about the other states but up here in qld i always get ford ****boxes drive up beside me then speed off, typical dropkicks and get this iv got a mate who likes his fords alot but has only ever owned 1 falcon (xd) and owned three commos- had a vb years back, now a vr and he now wants a vt!

I wouldn't go so far as to say in modified or stock form they are pieces of shiz.

I'd buy a BA XR8 ute if i had enough cash to spend on one. I was even considering a BA XR8 at one stage. I dunno why everyone hates fords so much, the BA XR range look tougher than the VZ SS range IMO.

there is no such thing as a accident. The correct term is collision. An accident implys no one is at fault.
