Can someone confirm- Geelong/Vic readers

I have recieved a disturbing comment today from a friend of mine in Adelaide. His friends GF is a Geelong girl born and bred and a family friend is a trainer at the Cats (the best football team around) and has been informed that Nathan Ablett has taken his own life today.

Can anyone confirm this devastating rumour?

edit: This is from the gfc website from this morning which there wont be a decision till the new year.
