New years eve at the gong

Going to wollongong this saturday, and will be staying there over new years with a few mates. Anyone no whether new years is any good there? What does everyone usually do? Im so over canberras new years so gona try out the gong.

Hey dude, its pretty average.. Although if you're not from around here i suppose it wouldn't be too bad. Most people are out around the south beach - entertainment centre strip, thats where all the fireworks and such goes on.. Goto North Gong Pub earlier in afternnon/evening..

Its pretty standard.

To get into the North Gong you are going to need to buy tickets.

I went there 2 years ago (been around 6 or 7 times all up), cant remember how much the tickets were, but I think they were around $20. Bull****. And on top of that you have to wait 40 minutes to get a drink and then another 30 minutes to take a slash. I think there also seems to be heaps more young ********s wanting to fight as well.

I grew up in Wollongong and I'm here visiting my parents at the moment, no way in hell i'm staying here. I'm returning to Brissy

been there about 6 times in last too years. i like the surf. pretty good. Usually camp at surf lesure resort in ferry meddow. i think thats what its called. the kareokee at harp goes off haha. Na i always make a huge fool of myself. Me and my mates are over canberras new year so we heading there over new years. then heading somewhere down south.
