New years eve celebrations..

yo, just wondering what everyones doing for NYE,

i wasnt at the peninsula last year but i heard all about it.. so im going down to sorrento on monday with some mates to get some sun in and have a few relaxed beers like you do...

anyway in the last day or two the police have come on the tv saying keep away.. just because a coupple of clowns rioted last year...

its like telling people to keep away from noble macca's
imo i want to go to have some responsible fun with my mates but i doubt the police will leave us alone

anyone else heading up that way and whats your thoughts on this whole thing, apparently the police can confiscate UNOPENED alcohol containers if so thats bull****... im sick of clowns ruining it for everyone else because they have to many to drink and think its a good idea to "goarn punch on with some ****s"

Basically if it isn't in a box or paper/plastic bag it can be confiscated just as much as it can be if opened.
i would love to see massive drink and drug driving blitzes and i mean massive. Too many people get away with what is probably the most dangerous offence on the road. It's time it really gets cracked down on. Would still love to see interval steering wheel thumbnail scan interlocks on all new cars.

I'm DJ'ing at my regular venue, sounds like we've got a good crowd coming in, I've worked nearly every NYE's for a while now so don't really miss much, I get paid a lot for pretty much partying anyway so not complaining...

i live in a small country town and when the grand finals on every ones walkin round with a tinnie in their hand, even the cops but thats just out here in melb its not illeagle to have a un opened countainer in public, its un opened therefore you dont not intend to consume it, why should they take it off you

That bull**** behaviour buy F Wits keeps my colleagues away from people who really need an ambulance, because we have to sit around just in case it turns pear shaped again. Why little boys can't just enjoy things quietly for a change......

The unopened contained law is in here. it's all about interpretation-if you are heading home with your grog fine- if you are sitting at the park with the same container it might be a separate story.

yeah i getchya, i totally understand man about the f wits, its sad that they treat you and yuor colleagues the way they have in the past.. i remember reading your posts from last year.. i dont know why anyone would give you guys ****.. your are the lifeline for everyone...

im going there to have fun in a sensible manner with my mates. we'll probbly stay away from the foreshore and indoors, not drink my self spastic... i cant drink much because i had a operation about a month ago.. long story short i could hurt my self too easily..

lol i walked into a cop shop, in qld last nyd to see if they would. they turned me away, saying that if they cleared me to drive, and i jumped straight behind the wheel, if i got pulled over and blow over the limit or crashed i can sue them? wtf....

I have a 2 bedroom deluxe apartment with balcony, spa, mini bar etc in the room, plus use of the hotel pool, gym, spa etc for tomorrow night and the next night in Melbourne's CBD so we are dead smack bang in the middle of the city. So yeah me and the boys will be there drinking up from lunchtime then out hitting some clubs tomorrow night.
