ive been playing iron man, which i think is awesome fun. it got a massive bum wrap by the critics - god knows why, because its rocks in my opinion.

Iron Man is terrible, one of the worst games I've played in a long time. Just thankful I just hired it.

The in game videos look terrible, there is no lip syncing whatsoever. In game graphics are ok, but nothing flash. Missions are boring gameplay mechanics are pretty ordinary.

I'd give it a generous 6/10.

As for games I've been playing in between GTA, I can't get enough of NBA 2K8

yeh 2k8 is awsome it good because even on rookie the easiest one the computer is still competitive and play realistically
its sweet how they pump fake u and roll off etc they always get me with the fake hahah i tried the next level up there 2 good haha mayb cos i had a dodgy team but

re: iron man game - who cares about the video cut scenes anyway, as if a bit of off lip sync is going to ruin a whole game...ironic that thats exactly what all the reviews say as well, complaining about pathetic small things.
the game play is all i care about and its sweet - if its boring then your making it boring. it has an almost complete free fighting system so you can take on targets in all sorts of ways (ramming, grappling, repulsors, missiles, using enemy SAM's, ground shock impacts, re-directing enemy missiles...) which is one of the greatest things about it, the pure variety of unique ways you can go about taking out targets!
so if your bored during a mission then thats because of the way your going about it - how you attack is completely up to the player themselves.
for a game based around flight (most of the time) the in-game mechanics and physics are very good - ive played alot worse when it comes to games like this.
i found iron man quite refreshing from all the usual first and third person shooters and hack'n'slash games that flood the market.

thats true to an extent - but do you really place your judgement on a game based on if the cut scene lip sync is ok? hell up untill VERY recently most cut scenes (that arent a final fantasy or such with spectacular cut scenes) in games where all dodgy as hell...i even think gta4 could have better ones.
the game play is what matters the most imo, its silly to bash a game over such a trivial aspect like a poorly made cut scene.

I've got a first gen 60gb PS3 and the cd drive has stopped working. I rang Sony, they asked what game I was playing last, when I said GTA IV they recommended downloading a GTA IV patch from their website. I mentioned I've encountered glitches in the game and the bloke said the same thing. He said if the patch doesnt work, back up and restore system. If that doesnt work, send it back. Fingers crossed.

There is no variety, it's basically a plane game, without the good mechanics of a plane game. It's a third person shooter without intelligent cover mechanics, or intense battles. If you want to play something similar to Iron Man that's actually good, get Ace Combat 6.

It's not the small details that make this game poor, it's the whole package. It was borderline fun (and I use the term loosely) for the first 30 minutes of playing it, then the gameplay gets unbelievably repetitive and boring.

The lip syncing is just a part of the game, watching the videos are downright hilarious how bad they are. They should have included video from the movie, or nothing at all if they weren't capable of delivering there.

It has everything that you'd expect from a game based on a movie that had to be developed quickly. Cheap graphics, poor gameplay, paper thin plot, and little originality.
