hi, just wondering how to get around the optus aurora because if i dont live in a remote area i may not beable to activate the card for seven and imparga.

am i able to activate the commercial channels in a non remote area without filling out papers. if so how?

is there other ways to get around the aurora, just interested to find out because i heard about it and want to get around it if possible.

can someone please list the free to air satellites that transmit english/american/australian/canadian free to air channels to tune into because it ta kes too long to find. what programs can you use and how do you use the program to burn it onto a gold card or wafer card

On an official card you cannot get all services.Optarse will only active some services depending on which part of australia you are in.
You can try getting a non legit gold card which someone has copied the details of an original card,but be warned that optarse will be switching to a more secure encryption system later in the year and the gold will stop working.

You will get ABC and 7 from NT, also a bunch of FTA rubbish channels. I have a spare dish that I will put up one day and play around with different satellites, but at the moment the crap you can get it's not worth it. Otherwise there are only illegal options available.

so what do you do to get it activated and will the 7 nt stop working.

so what do i need to aim the dish at to get lots of fta from usa and canada and uk and australia that have cartoons and movies and can you list a link to a site to get a tv guide for those channels.

You won't get northern hemisphere satellites because they are below our horizon. If you look here Free TV from Australia - LyngSat this gives you a list of the FTA (free to air) channels available and the satellites they are on. Look around that site and it will tell you where to find each satellite.

A bit south of the border there....but no...their sats orbit on their side of the globe. TV broadcasting satellites have a footprint of transmission areas, mostly relating to "line of sight" from the dish to the bird. They tend to orbit above the region that they transmit to. If your dish can't see the bird, then it won't receive a signal.
