MY GF's shopping trolley needs a tune up. I have searched for over 1 hour on the net and can't find any specs for spark plug gap, points gap, dwell angle. The motor is a 4G32 1.6L Auto.
dwell angle should be about 50degrees like most 4 cylinders... what plugs are in it??
I got some new NGK BP6ES to go in it.
I havn't set up points for over 10 years since having VL, VN and now a VR. Still have a Dwell meter in the shed.
I got a Colt service manual somewhere here from when I use to own a Colt.....but I'm bout to go to work so can't search around for it now....if u still need them 2morrow I'll have a suss then.

BP6ES... should have either a 10, 12 or 15 after those letters... the number is relative to the plug gap
isnt there a specifications sticker under the bonnet??
yeh there should be a specs sticker under the bonnet like peanuts said, my triton has one and it says everything on, how to tune it, plug gaps, pretty much everything you need to do for a service
The part number of the NGK plugs is just BP6ES. There are no other numbers after it.
I just had a look at NGK website and found the gap is 0.8
There is a sticker, but it is all in japanese![]()
