I wouldnt worry about joining up and saying anything, these people have friggen issues and need some severe help.

If you were to sign up and abuse them it would be the same as joining a depression website and abusing them which is plain stupid, just leave them be and hope they get help, quick.

Dead set posers. Cutting themselves not for attention, just because it's the "in" thing to do in their scene. What a crock. Obviously none of them are for real because the point of cutting your wrist is to DIE, none of them seemed to have done it yet because they are still posting.

If they were serious, they would have done it properley but cutting vertically down the veins on their wrist so it's near impossible to sew the vein up at the hospital. But no, those little idiots cut a few layers of skin above the veins enough to leave a scar, but nowhere near deep enough to kill themselves, then sit there and say: "wahhhhhhhh i wanna die".

Think of the people that aren't lucky enough to have the means to whinge about how bad they have it

However I don't think it's all about whinging and crying and cutting and what not. Seems it's a big style/fashion issue and a "I don't conform to any groups, so I'm an emo" (heh) kind of deal!

Like i said ive got 2 mates that were emo back in year 12, and have since grown out of it for the most part.

People say the same thing about the goth scene that they all think about death and ****, while you do get the wankers who will try fit in with the stereotype i go out and do the goth thing with my mates and all we think about is... OH BOURBON GO GO GO other than that we love to rock out. We often see the 15/16 year old posers that think sitting on flinders street steps is the "in thing" and we just look down on them like scum.

So while these particular idiots on this forum fit the wrist cutting idiots that we have come to know not all of them fit that category... I think this gathering on that forum has seemed to attract the scum of the bucket.

I agree, they think they're lives are bad. ALL OF THEM HAVE: a roof over their heads, clothes, food, running clean water, THE INTERNET, a family and some of them, an education.

Take a look at a big portion of the world. No house, no food, no clothes, no internet, no family, no clean water, addicted to drugs, living in war torn countries not knowing if someone will kill you in the next 24 hours or not, disease ridden, the list goes on!!

I used to not even think about that kind of thing, but when i turned 18, i realised, nothing is that bad. If you have a family, a roof over your head, clothing, food and water, you are doing pretty bloody well IMO.

Put the razor down and grow up you posing little losers. Think about people who's lives are ACTUALLY bad for once and don't be so fu**ing selfish.

Weather or not these kids are just following some stupid trend, they are hurting themselves, and I dont find it funny at all, people cut for a reason. Just because someone has a roof over their head, clothing & family does not mean there life is all peachy....

Making fun of it (and the state of mind they are in) really makes you all look like idiots.

I didn't say that, i said they need to cheer up a bit, when you look at what you have compared to what alot of others have, it should be enough to keep your mind positive instead of creating a mountain out of a mole hill.


And as for the wrist cutting, sorry, but i know alot of people who did it way back in high school, in the end, all of them said it was just to do with the scene they were in, they start off in this stupid emo scene, then they work themselves up into such a tizzy, that everything seems bad. If you surround yourself with depressing things, "depressed" (and i use the term loosely) emo's, plenty of black, and depressing music about hating yourself and wanting to die what the hell do you expect? It's almost like brainwashing, all this crap that surrounds them eventually sinks in deep and seems "cool" to them. It's pathetic. Pick yourself up, cut the crap, ditch the stupid emo scene, and get on with life positively.

And yes, there ARE real depressed people out there who aren't faking it. But alot of them aren't emo kids. They are normal everyday working people who can be very good at masking their sadness and depression. They are the ones we should be very worried about. Not these little kids who jump into this scene and bring alot of this poser fake crap on themselves. They force all this stuff upon them when they don't have to.

Real depression can come from a chemical imbalance in ones brain, a traumatic experience, abuse etc etc, and most depressed people don't go about telling everyone how sad they are, they don't die their hair black or wear black t shirts with white skulls on them, they don't comb their fringes over their eyes and listen to my chemical romance or pierce their lips with a ring. These kids live in a fake scene that disgustingly takes pride in being depressed because it seems "cool" so everyone looks at them, when there are actual real people out there REALLY hurting but don't know what to do who DON'T REALLY WANT TO BE DEPRESSED!!

I can assure you, if three quarters of those little emo kids had not of gotten into that scene and had nothing to ever do with it, they wouldn't be doing what they are doing now.

Yes but obviously there not in any state of mind to see the bigger picture. We never know what is really happening behind closed doors, so dont make fun of it. Some of the things they talk about in there are the same things people talk about on depression forums and you wouldnt sderiously go make fun of those people would you?

I agree with you, but these "kids" are following a trend, they dont realise its not good for them, so rather than making fun of them someone should be helping them. This whole "Emo" thing needs to be stopped if it is really all about cutting and being depressed all the time. I dont remember anyone at school like that, although did have a friend who use to cut herself, turns out her father had been sexual assaulting her since she was 6, why I normally react when people think cutting is funny, its quite serious, maybe someone needs to show these idiots how serious it really is.
