Take a look at the most extreme diesel car ever built! One of the biggest stars of this year’s Detroit Motor Show is Audi’s mighty new R8 V12 TDI.

Powered by a thunderous twin-turbo 6.0-litre V12 powerplant, the oil-burning supercar promises to be even faster than its petrol powered sibling. A huge 493bhp and an earth-shattering 1,000Nm of torque will make this Audi a true thriller.

The sprint from 0-62mph takes only 4.2 seconds – 0.4 seconds ahead of the petrol model.

The front bar could be better but still its an awesome car, saw the previous model in melbourne few months ago. Awesome machine.
i is a v12 so it does need alot of ventilation, not much you can do about that.

i saw one of these (the current model anyways)on the gold coast out the front of shooters. and it was pure sex, best lookin car ive seen in person

Saw a review on the TV here a short time ago of the petrol version, might have been on fifth gear (don't know if it's on aussie tele?) Sure is pure sex on wheels except they put these stupid led's all the way around the headlights, but it certainly got up and went........ slightly quicker than my VY

Last Year's motorshow was pish.... No WOW value at all... Other than the Mitsubishi chicks and the Merc models.... Not much else.... None of the cars tickled my tickley bits... Thats for sure... It was basically, bloody miserable, I would of rather had paid to have been stabbed...
