I see on the news a 20 year old P plater faced court after leading cops on a chase through Victoria. They say speeds of the WRX reached 255km/h. This guy has lost his licence in other states and apparently wrote off the WRX with a telegraph pole a few days after the Victorian incident. Oh and he apparently has the mental capacity of a 16 year old. How did he get a WRX in the first place? I think he gets the vote for 'knob of the week'.

Thats pretty fast.... How did they catch him? Once the pursuit becomes dangerous at like high speeds don't the police have to pull out?

He was cornered in some dead end residential street. In the report they said he pulled over to refuel 3 times during the pursuit.

how slow were the cops then?
Chuck Norris destroyed the periodic table, because he only recognizes the element of surprise
Prob persued with hellycoppaz ehem helicopters.....
There was a guy at my old work that pulled a similar trick, got up to abit above 200km in a wrx, ended up crashing tho and in hospital for a few months....
What a tool.... why didnt the cops juss give him the pinky salute? that would have slowed him down!
The pursuit cars pull back, the chopper stays on...
I recon he should be banned from driving till he is 21, then he can try again for p's.
Obviously he doesn't have the mental capacity to make a rational decision to pull over for police or drive in a manner that isn't dangerous.
I think out licensing system is stiil scr*wed...
There is a big diffence between having the skill to pass a driving exam and being mature enough to be allowed to drive.
They do a mental health test when you go into the army n they give you a guy, i recon they should do the same when they give you 2 toones of metal.
BUt yeah,
Moral of the story... his license should now be a wet dream for him.
I remember a story about a kid being banned from getting a license for 5 yeahs because he would ride a dirt bike along a country road to work, not breaking any actual rules other than being on the road.
This p plater is clearly a total wanker n doesn't deserve the RIGHT to be on the same road as other people.
All this speeding i am reading about is so stupid. When I was back in Australia I was driving 100-110km on the highways and was thinking that was fast. Over here I drive 180-220km no sweat and am comfortable at those speeds and it feels normal. But Australian roads and also most cars are not up to these types of driving conditions.
Point is people arent experienced in driving at those speeds, and shouldnt drive at those speeds.
Once a Mercedes is up to cruising speed it lopes along easily and is happy sitting on 180+ km/h all day. Please check the speed limits in your area before attempting this…
