Default Recyled timber Brisbane

I'm thinking of putting together a bar, pretty basic one for bbq's etc to stand around. Does anyone know where I can buy recyled timber? I'm thinking this is the best way to give it the rustick look I'm going for.

Railway sleepers are great for projects, especially the redgum ones...

Seriously though I'd be looking for building salvage yards, etc or even looking out around your neighbourhood during hard waste collections, etc for suitable materials

You'll get away with it without paying a cent. Just keep your eyes and ears open. I pulled up the laundry floor the other day cos of some old water damage and rot to a few boards, Tassie oak made some ripper planters!

you could try the Big Red Shed at Kelvin Grove & Darra or Schimmels at Redbank Plains.

the weekend shopper in Saturdays Courier Mail usually has a lot of secondhand building materials also.
