windows usually follow the previous configuration, ie. if it was closed as a max window it opens as one...

ill investigate further...

i had a look, if your opening a new window from a currently active window, its small, im not sure you can change it neither... My IE will open as a ma window from first initiation so im not sure if there is a simple solution to your problem.

I dont generally use ie though, i use a Tabbed browser called Opera. It follows the same rules though.. closed max = open max.

I don't think you can do anything about IE doing this. It frustrates me also but the only solution is maybe use Firefox or something. Firefox is good too as it has a lot of cool extensions you can get for it.

Maybe instead of maximizing it, try dragging the smaller box out to full screen...that might work.
