I had a motorola V3 RAZOR, was all good until I put it in the washing machine. I bought another one as a replacement, exactly the same. (not much point me buying a decent phone as they get trashed at work)
With my current one I can't send or receive picture msgs, it always says "MMS Setup not complete". I don't have a clue how to set it up, or a clue on how to go about it.
Searched Motorla's trouble shooting website, didn't get me anywhere.
Any one know what to do?
From what I remember you have to ring telstra to get them to set it up..
And I agree that they suck too... I had to put up with one for a year and I almost smashed it sooo many times lol

Motorolas are crap, i had a V3x it died in 2months, heard couple ppl say they lasted a hole week.
Those Hiptops are bad too, US dicontinued the hiptop slide in 3months due to manufactures faults, but Aus still keeps gettin them, puttin ppl on 24month contracts with a phone that wont last 6months
Nokia ftw
soz to go off track, but motorolas are gay
LOL I got a crappy motorola V3 and its almost 2 years old. Been dropped and abused so many times. Still they are crap but I'm quite lucky for mine to last that long.
I have to disagree on the Nokia ftw. Ive had my n73 for just over a year now and its totally ****ed. Random drop outs, turns itself off randomly, changes the ringtone when it wants, turns itself off when it wants and i could go on. And my previous phone to this a 6280 was much the same. I will never buy another nokia

Yeah all the models of those slides seem to suck big time n just die quick.
Wonder what phone manufacturer has the most phones die with-in 6mths, id have dibs on motorola from lookin around at how many ppl have dead hiptops n razors
hmmm maybe your memory is full or something. you saving things onto the memory card instead of the phone?
if youve installed the software that came with your phone, it should be in the start menu in a folder called nokia software updater. instructions are easy to follow, but make sure you do not unplug or interrupt the phone while updating, or it could be screwed. make sure you back up all your settings to the memory card to in the tools section on your phone. need any help let me know

Sorry, I had to laugh at your post because I'm glad I'm not alone. I have a motorola- well should I say I HAD a motorola until a few days ago I put it in the washing machine too.. glad I'm not the only one though!
yeah i did the upgrade for my n73, sped it up heaps.
Nokia - Download - Device software update
be careful when updating it though, like make sure its charged and its not gonna switch off or let the usb cable loose, other than that its very easy,
noticed your in Brisbane, theres a nokia care centre up in aspley, opposite mcdonalds on gympie road, take it down there if you're not too sure.

Thanks for the advice. Yea everything gets saved to my mem card. but i think im gonna have trouble updating the firmware cause the use connection is a little corroded so it randomly cuts out which im guessing would be bad. so you say the nokia care centre. could they possible update it for me?

I had a 3250, great phone but they had an annoying beep that sounded before a ringtone would play. Aparently part of the phone. I had the softwar updated on mine after it would constantly restart. All good after that.
Got an N73 now, haven't had 1 problem yet. Great phone. NOKIA FTW.

Maybe y got rid of it in the later builds of them. Mine was one of the first ones built, got it the day it came out. I asked nokia and they said it can't be turned off and it was part of the phone. I told them it was annoying and to never ever put it on a phone again. On a quiet profile it would beep loudly then played the tone softly. Really annoying.
