As i said elsewhere, people actually do something for valentines day...bloody too many hallmark days.

It's the biggest rip off of a "holiday" in the calendar, the amount of money some idiots spend is ludicrous.

As for my baby, well rego is due today, so her gift is being able to be on the road tomorrow

Neither myself or partner bother, it's just a waste of money. The biggest rip off holiday is Christmas...followed closely by easter.

The advantages of having a long standing partner

My last gf and I didn't do it, this year will be my first valentines day with my new girl, so can't get out of it really without looking bad.

at least over here when its come to easter we stick to some tradition, with the eggs and bunnys and stuff. i remember in america they just gave each other money or gifts

Craig is getting nothing, got a new car, mags, and soon to be lowered etc etc Im going horse Riding, getting a facial & my nails done and having the afternoon away from the kids lol thats for my bday too tho on the 17th.

Not at all. As i said, if i want to buy something for my mrs, I will do it when I feel i should, not because a day says so...you don't need a special day to tell your partner you love them.

I agree, me and a mate were just talking about it, so many ppl try killing themselves on Valentines day, not to forget the poor kids at school who get **** coz they dont get any cards.

You should just buy or do something for your partner when you feel like it or when they deserve it, Valentines day is predictable, girls like surprises

We celebrate more my borthday than anything.

Maybe its because I'm single, but I personally think V'day is a load of ****...as others have said, its just a bloody hallmark holiday. If you really do love someone, IMHO you shouldn't NEED a special day to say so.

Definately agree with you on that one babe, Valentines day is really predictable and quite boring to be honest... Glad I am single so I don't have to worry about that lol... I did buy the boys I live with some choccies for tomorrow only because I know they won't expect it :P

I think its good to have Valentines Day, its just a day to give people insensitive to get out there and tell the person they fancy that you like them. For some people its hard for them to express their feelings to another person so they take this opportunity by the balls (or flaps) and use it.

I think ill just buy some flowers.

I hate it always have, cept my missus was really lookin forward to it and i forgot all about it but i had told her i dont believe in that crap and its a waste of time, but i got a small box of chocolates just to cover my back cause she did end up getting me somthing, but now she knows how i feel about it lol

Ahhhhhh another day that cost me money! Got the missues a big box of roses made up (a friend did it so paid cost on all materials, $40) and a bracelet.
This is the first valentine's day with the girlfriend so had to go to a bit of trouble to cover my ass.
