This might sounds stupid to EVERYONE but me and my friends have had an important argument going for about a year now and it goes like this:
I'm sure most people remember the McCains advert about the corn squirting on the roof of the house and the man shouting
'Marge, Marge the rains are here/out!'
Is it here or out? I have always said here mainly because out sounds stupid. But the majority of my group says out
Sorry if you have just opened this thread and though 'sh*t what a waste of time that was'
thanks
it's here.
wtf...of course its "here"...saying "out" doesnt even make any sense...
i think someone needs to be bitch slapped and told they're a fool![]()
Quagmire: My fellow Americans, I have not been entirely truthful with you. I did gagoogidy that girl. I gashmoygadied her gaflavity with my googus. And I am sorry.
spoken with that stereotypical aussie "twang" it comes out more like "eeya"
Ive got a very similar argument with one of my freinds, weve proved it beyond doubt with recordings of tv shows from years gone by.
The question is: Yoplait is french for a) YUM or b) Yoghurt.
the rains are here
no longer a hoon by association - the commodore is gone
I don't think it is French for anything? Yoghurt is yaourt in French. I think its just a brand name.
But it wasn't rain so the old codger was lyin to his missus!
Yeh I have no idea why my mates think it's out they think it sounds better for some strange reason. I would love to find the advert somewhere to prove it.
Its all a conspiracy. Marge is an anagram for "A Germ". The Germans are planning to take us over with strategic carpet corning!
It's funny watching them trying to explain why it's out. "Well its... its....its just out....from the sky......"
I thought it was out, but:
a) I don't give a sh*t
b) I haven't seen that ad for too long to give a sh*t.
c) see a.
you're right was a STUPID argument
IS a stupid argument. Still going strong.
I can tell you it's 100% raining in QLD. 600ML in one day woooooohoo..
Marge, Marge the rains are here
5 hours later,
Marge, Marge there goes the house down the street!
