do you agree with the apology the mr Rudd gave this week

I didn't watch it so I don't know what he said, however now that I'm old and wise I can see that the Aboriginals had a much better and more practical way of life than we will ever know. We broke it and then pretty much destroyed the country in just 200 years so fairs fair I don't mind anyone admiting that was a stuff up . Not not people have the foresight to see what I'm talking about and have jumped on the abo bashing wagon pretty fast

no one can ever apologise on your behalf without your consent... the government should not say that australia is sorry, hell, most arnt... he should ahve apologised for the australian/british governements interfearence.

He may represent us, but he isnt our mother... nor should he act like it.

Howard had it right.... now that they got there apology, their gonna claim even more cos now we have taken responsibilty for their problems, and now its our problem to fix them.

This isnt a good thing... will just cause more hassles in the future... everyone cant claim ignorance to responsibilty because... simply put, we have taken that role on... and i say we because, WE ARE AUSTRALIAN and thats now what weve done.

Whats to say they wouldnt get to this point in another 100 years anyway... if we didnt do it someone else would have... there society was too weak to control the country and so we took it and made it better, ALOT ALOT ALOT better.

i agree, what the hell does it matter to us as individuals anyways. no court case with be successful so chillax and move on. Live your own life and dont pull your hair out over something that a poly said. espacially if u didnt vote for him.

Yes, they did live better than we do in some ways. Certainly they managed to maintain lifestyles and social systems in the country for a very long time. The jury is still out as to whether we can say the same about our society.

Whether it's right or wrong, at least in the short term, guns, germs and steel prevail.

Only a few people out of the whole Australian population know what it's like to be ripped out of a family unit. Very sad indeed.

Howard will be remembered as the PM that could not say sorry. Even at the time it seemed like the right thing to do - it clearly was not right.
