WRX's certainly are bang for your buck but insurance is a killer!
Happy I went with the Clubby though. I think I would have gotten over the size of the WRX pretty quickly.
I can't beleive how people can afford the insurance. I've got rating one for life, live in a low crime area, over 25. For a 10 year old wrx I would have had to pay 1k+ insurance.
<davy> remember when braveheart came out and everyone said you can't have mel gibson playing a scottish guy cuz it wont be realistic?
<davy> well look at him now
<davy> an alcoholic racist
There's a reason I call them the "new Hyundai Excel"....
I often think that maybe its Excel drivers that are starting to be able to afford a better car, lol.

I work at a Subaru Dealership and got to say, there's a bunch of them around. I could easily live with one if I had the money, they're not a bad car. But I've got more of a soft spot for the old low spoiler, '99-'00 models, they're the lightest and most agile ones. They're a surprisingly strong car too, in stock form they're close to bulletproof.
It's because there such a reliable car though I guess? I don't see why you would get many problem's with them. Good safe family car, the Liberty anyway. My best mate's parents have one and they will not do a burnout, no matter what. They only way to lock up the wheels is to pull the handbrake, very safe car's.
apparently the gearbox is prone to problems on the earlier ones... probably due to the thrashing they would get on a day to day basis. The boxer engine is unbreakable tho.
