Grabbin some lunch at a local cafe today and spotted this, apparently it's a SV99. never heard of them so, do they exist and how many were made?
Edit: Removed attachment as per owners request.
sure was
the colour is hackett gold, similar to the GTS
Dey are real. Not sure on how many(prob 99)but the guys will fill you in.
Yeah totally agree, those rims are just, horrible.
The mirrors are abit sparkly aswell, so i think he has chrome mirrors on it.
99 made, interior is pretty awesome if you got to see it.
Going by how many i know of, theres not many written off yet.
The plates spoil it worse. We live in SA, stop being a tightarse and buy HSV SV99

The Mad Dutchman
I'll take a guess and say that he bought them so that he could sell his OEM wheels off to some 17 y/o to put them on his VN HSV Exec Clubsport GTS, and make a fair bit of money. :-/:'(

Only 99 made! Good Lord. Some people just shouldn't be let near rare cars, you know?
I am reminded of the oil advert which used to be in Street Machine magazine quite a few years ago, where a young guy is standing by a gold 327 Bathurst Monaro. The advert says a story something like "yeah, granddad bought it brand new, and only drove it on weekends, grandma hated it, so it usually stayed in the shed, he really babied it. When he died, I inherited it...a genuine 327 Bathurst Monaro with low mileage, in perfect original condition."
What did our hero then do?
"The old girl only needed a freshen up, so I repainted it, tore down the motor, worked buggery out of it, lowered it, mag wheels", and the list went on...
So Einstien, you've taken a priceless original piece of motoring history, and turned it into just another done up Monaro...oh sure, it might have once been a Bathurst Monaro, but now it's worth maybe a tenth of what it would have been if you'd kept your grubby mitts off the damn thing!
Same with that SV99...unless he has kept all the original bits (which I would have done and put them back on for shows if you must have different wheels and mirrors), he has just lowered the value dramatically. Well done.
Agreed aswell. Fair enough doing mods to make the car look better, but those wheels and mirrors don't do that.
VY mirrors at the least. And such a rare car, the wheels are awesome as they were.
