Im looking at buying VE GTS rims and i found these two... my first thought says the first one (ebay link) are dodgy copies. the second link looks legit but will they fit a non-VE commodore??

first one could well be legit
as for fitment, you'll have to ask the seller a question, because VE wheels will NOT fit previous model commodores, they are however fairly easily modified to fit pre-VE, which may or may not have been done

Ecotec VP, 135rwkw, 427nm
Erm, the second is legit, first cant be as they are 19's?

VE GTS rims are 20" so the first lot are copies.
what has to be done to allow fitment to pre VE commodores?? costly?
You do know to replace the tread will cost you thousands?
<davy> remember when braveheart came out and everyone said you can't have mel gibson playing a scottish guy cuz it wont be realistic?
<davy> well look at him now
<davy> an alcoholic racist
i doubt itd be that much... what exactly dosnt fit? ofset, stud patern??
the hub is smaller on the ve's, so they need to be machined larger to fit, genuine holden wheel nuts are need for genuine wheels as seen here Announcements

yeh i know there 9.5 on the rear (thats y i want genuine :P) more traction can never hurt!!! they should fit a VX clubby (new car not my VS) with out to much trouble. i think most commys should fit 8.5 or 9.0 so it will prob just need the guard rolled. i doubt you'd need to tubb them? any one got an idea of what the machning might cost??
lol, these could be an expensive set of wheels.
Most of the coppies are made for vb-vz commys. I read it over calaisturbo, a few of the boys have them on their VL's.

yeh but im a bit sceptic about the quailty of the copys. iv been told there prone to cracking. any here have copy rims??
Buy 4 front wheels and how wide the rears are is a non issue. I'd say $1500 would be conservative. Well unless you buy el cheapo rubber.
I think the OEM ones are closer to $3000 for a set.
These wheels are going to be everywhere soon. Nice looking wheel I must say but I've seen them on so many cars it is unbelievable. They look pretty average with Holden's tiny brakes behind them as well.
Nice rim`s , but you would need a nice big fresh looking brake upgrade to complement them ...$$$$$$$$$$$$$$...

No you are wrong. HSV GTS rims are 20" standard. It is not an upgrade. The Clubsport comes with 19" rims, a Clubsport is not a GTS. For more information on HSV's you can visit this site Holden Special Vehicles
