Supercharged V8 from Walkinshaw cranks out the power

MELBOURNE hot-tuner Walkinshaw Performance has announced an exclusive Stage 2 supercharger kit that extracts 422kW at 6000rpm and no less than 728Nm at 4250rpm of torque from HSV's LS2 V8.
Also applicable to Holden's 6.0-litre L98 V8, the WP blower's fitted unit price is $15,500, before the likes of exhaust, cold air-intake and engine calibration systems from the WL product catalogue are considered.
Developed by WP's technology partner Harrop Engineering, the kit features a unique HH122 Walkinshaw housing wrapped around Eaton internals, a WP supercharger inlet manifold and drive system, high-flow fuel injectors and an optional air-to-water intercooler.
It produces 422kW/728Nm with 9.5 to 10psi of boost and comes with a 12-month/20,000km parts and labour warranty.
WP says more performance is available on a "let's discuss" basis at any of its inter/national offices, including newly-appointed Victorian representative, Autotechnique in Knoxfield.
I wonder how fast that thing goes![]()
