Hey all, just wondering if anyone has had anything to do with ecar insurance? Got an online quote for my VS V6 auto sedan with 7 mods, full comprehensive insurance for 23yo was $288 pa. it wasnt clear how much excess' etc were but that figure is $300 less than my current policy.

Yeah ive goten a quote off them, they rang me up a bit after i done it to try and get me to buy stright away, but i still havent purchased it yet. But they have been the cheapest overall of what ive seen. The excess details should be there? They where for me, ill post back on the excess when i get around to looking at it.

$504.99 third party only for me, thats 17 for you. The excess listed seems to be universal,

E1 Basic Excess: $150
A basic excess is a compulsory excess under this policy and is the first amount payable for all claims.
Policy Endorsements
E2 Young Driver Excess: $300
An additional excess depending on the driver’s age, may apply in the case of an accidental damage claim. The additional age excesses appear on the Car Policy Schedule, and will be added to the basic excess referred to in E1, as well as any other excesses which may apply.
E3 Licence Period Excess: $300
An additional excess applies for accidental damage claims, where the car was being driven by a driver who has not held a full Australian driver’s licence for a minimum of 2 years. This additional excess will be added to the basic excess referred to in E1, as well as any other excesses which may apply.
Unlisted Drivers: $1000
An additional excess applies for accidental damage claims, where the car was being driven by a driver who is not listed on the policy.

yer they rang me back today so i hit them up about the finer details. found out that im liable for the $150 basic excess plus a $200 age excess. that is also about $700 less excess than suncorp.... theyr underwriters are an international insurance company so im not entirely convince yet
