    Default projector screen advice

Hi, i just bought a sony projector.
Now the trouble ans strife tells me she has plans for the wall i was going to project it onto.
I went looking on ebay for a screen to hang and was suprised buy the different ones available.
I like a good quality picture and there may be some outside light in the room when using it, but it will mostly be used at night to watch movies and maybe the odd football game.
Can anyone clue me in on what i should buy? I am not worried about it being motorised or anything(i can pull a screen down and roll it back up). I just want a
    decent quality picture.
Do i get a glass bead one a matt one or another type?
Im not sure on what size i need yet but will try and measure it up.

    Any ideas appreciated.
    Cheers Shane

A good screen is only as good the the projector projecting onto it! If you have light entering the room you wont make things a whole lot better with a screen, this is something high end projector manufacturers have been working to improve for ages.

I know more about projectors that screens but generally for home installs people go with a matt screen to cut back glare and reflection. A dedicated 'cinema' room would love a high-end projector suitably coupled with reflective 'glass bead' screen you mention. Sometimes it comes down to choice. It's like matching speakers to a headunit, depending on what it is depends on what quality outcome is.
Something you might play around with but i assure you you'll be safe with a matt type white screen if you are just wacking it up in the lounge.
