Pic of my bros XB Black Interceptor.Pic was taken in Sth Caralina U.S. where he bought it from a fan & shipped it back to Ad.Comes complete with mock up blower in the bonnet, real just with it's guts removed.Blue flashing Dash light & sirens & fake red lever on the gear shift to operate the tiny electric motor on the blower...!!!Know it' no Commodore but it's still real smick.Look 4 it at the bay to Birdwood Run...if customs clears it in time...

I saw the original Mad Max#2 XB Black Interceptor at the Adelaide Showgrounds back in or around 1982.(showing my age a bit here..)It was the Australian launch of Focus VHS Video.It had the tanks hanging out the boot, most of the interior was missing as like in the film, & the plastic seat in the pass door 4 the feral kid & the plaque there stating it was fair dinkum.From memory other cars there included the 'Blues Brothers Police Car', the bizarre looking pink lamborghini type opening door thing from the Pink Panther films, Elvis Presley's Gold Cadillac, complete with bullet hole in the front guard where he shot it 1 day 4 not starting & 1 of the Munster's Hotrod cars..At the time i didn't realise wat i was looking at & it become the most iconic oz muscle cars & the most recognised around the world..

Going from the official Mad Max site there were 2 built originally 4 Mad Max#2.1 was 4 close ups & driving shots while the other was wrecked & neva had the detail of the original.Apparently Planet Hollywood are claiming they have original Black Interceptor, howeva last I heard it was on display sumwhere in the U.K......
