Have just had maffless tune done on vx ss. Anyone had problems with getting insurance with MAF removed ? As car is defectable have car currenty insured with shannons. Anyone been defected for otrcai.

If its illegal, which it is, it technically voids insurance. But how are insurance going to know? You simply don't say its had a mafless tune. Not hard. They never inspect the vehicle anyway and if they do just re-install the MAF.

my brother called up just cars and made them aware hes got the maf-less tune done. and they were fine with it.

I just rang shannons for a quote right, and they would not insure my car beause I dont follow any racing or motor sport? WTF?

yea they said the same to my mate when he rang up about his sandman, they asked him questions like whether he was a member of a car club or forum, and then refused to insure him when he said he wasnt.
