    Default Moulded Carpet

    hey lads

im looking at getting brand new black carpet for my VS

What kind of carpet you recommend?..i see plush and loop and all that, i have no idea on what the difference is, LOL.

any ways, some recommendations on places/websites that can do it will be sweet too!

BTW- The underlay/sound deadening under the old carpet, will i be able to peel it off and stick it to do the new carpet with out falling to shreads?

Most places can provide you with the underlay relatively cheap. We bought from a large car carpet supplier that has a website- big mistake. I won't name names, pm me if you want to know who to avoid. In the end we bought a nice new plush moulded carpet from holden, paid through the nose though.

Oh and the difference between plush and loop is plush has all the strands sticking straight up to form the pile much softer and nicer looking, loop and the strands are looped. Its a bit like house carpet, the plush is like teh stuff when u walk on its soft but leave marks where you been treading on the pile but loop is a bit more hard wearing and you don't see where you have been walking.

Do not use Tru-fit carpets, but i have heard all good things about knox and stuart brown (hes on ebay). If you go into some auto shops they will have samples of the different types, just go feel lol.

Knox Auto Carpets have a pretty good reputation, not sure what freight would be up to Sydney though
If ignorance is bliss why aren't there more happy people around ?
