Just looking at getting a new Ipod. The Nano is the one I think I am after, they are the smallest one available except the shuffle aern't they?
Is 8GB the biggest you can get for the Nano's? Holds 2000 songs yeh?
Really only want a small one, as I want it for gym and running.
Just get a shuffle, if your usuing it gym and running why do u need a screen and such, shuffles are awesome. Besides, as Borat said, "everyone knows nanos are for girls"
Yeah nano is the smallest, even if you could get the older style nano's they were smaller I think.
But you're right, 8gb 2000 songs.
You can still get 4gb nanos from a few places in silver only, officeworks, dickies etc.
edit: in the target catalogue in SA this week for $189 (4gb)
The biggest the nano comes in is 8gb (Silver, black, green, blue). The current G3 nano is physically smaller than the older G2, so i wouldn't bother trying to find one. But if its just for the gym id say just get the 4gb, 1000 songs, and can be had for about $180.
Borat said the Ipod mini is for girls :P
Cheers guys, there is a nano 2nd gen 8GB going for around 200 on ebay atm, might put some bids on that.
2nd/3rd Gen Nano FTW! Solid state (flash) memory is awesome, no hard drives to **** up or use excessive power and up to 12hours of play time. Iv had my 2nd gen nano since they came out and is still going strong. Dont get a shuffle, waste of money. Have fun navigating through hundreds of songs! Plus I always like to see song titles, battery level, playlists, stats.etc
And Mack, he says "minis are for girls"![]()
my ex gf has a smallest one and it last a long time on batteries.
once you go the screen it will use batteries a lot, were the smaller ones go for 10 times the distance.
I also doubt there is any beter sound quality with the bigger one
somthing to think about
Gone Fishing...
Mini's/Nano's they are all the same![]()
Yeah you're right, both have a useless amount of storage space. And anyone suggesting a shuffle is crazy, why would you want to skip through 500+ songs with no screen? Makes things a little bit slow.
I've got an ipod 30gig that I strap to my arm on runs, it's not too big. I had an ipod mini a few years ago and it annoyed the hell out of me having to change the songs on it all the time, whereas my current ipod can store most songs I listen to regularly.
I also doubt sound quality is better on the bigger ones. But as I said before, my nano with will last up to 12hours. Plenty I reckon, and no inconvenience. Plus constantly skipping songs will reduce battery life, this is where a screen comes into play to find the song you want, or make playlists on-the-go
The Mini is bulky and has a hard drive = literally FAIL
True that they are a bit small. Mines 4gb and is full. But alot of the stuff on there I dont really listen to alot. The largest iPod Touch (also solid-state memory) holds what now? 32gb? Will be good once prices drop a bit!
Picked up a new black 2nd gen 8Gig nano plus all accesories etc, for 224 including express delivery to my house. To easy
