    Default A World of Woe !!! :(

    A world of Woe...

    Terrorists
    Greenhouse effects
    Inflation
    Disease
New carbon trading tax on the way ?

The way things are going we will all be paying more for the use of energy.

Me thinks it's time to move to the country, learn to farm and ride a horse.

Self sufficiency is the way forward!

    Comments ?

It'd be great to see people more self sufficient. I'd love to do it but they need to make sure that avenue is achievable and not too expensive for the average joe to do.

Yeah it would be heaps better for everyone if people weren't so reliant on a plastic wrap world... It's crazy the cost for a piece of food to be consumed.

    There's...

Cost of fertilizer, pesticide, water, harvesting
    Cost of storage (refrigerating)
    Cost of transport to market
Cost of transport from market to storehouse
    Cost of storage (refrigerating)
Cost of transport from storehouse to shop
    Cost of storage (refrigerating)
Cost of Transport from shop to home

If people started collective farming in areas set aside within the suburbs... people could save heaps on the cost of food and do the environment some good with less greenhouse emissions from transporting goods back and forth and storage. Do we really need food imported from overseas, then left in a storehouse refrigerated for 6 months while the product on the shelf sells?

    Ridiculous if you ask me...
