Question for those who have sent a xbox 360 back for repair

Does Microsoft send you a box to pack it in? or do you just pack it yourself and use the reply paid label and send it off?

I've registered my repair through the service page but getting conflicting info, one part says to pack it yourself and send it off while another section says they send you out a box

yeh u gotta get a box urself m8.... make sure u put alot of bubble wrap too, dont want any more damage now do ya! takes about 2 weeks which isnt too bad... which is y i got a ps3 now

yeah i bought a ps3 too, had to have the best of both worlds

looks like I'll try and find the original box for it, hopefully it's still here somewhere, pack it with bubble wrap and send it in.

I was always told they send you a box to put it into, then you send it off. The box is always referred to by the XBox Community as the coffin cause if its a RROD problem, its not going to be the same.

happened to me recently. you have to supply your own box and stick the reply paid bit on. took a week and i got mine back.

i got mine back in less than a week. go to your local supermarket and ask to find a suitable sized box, wrap the 360 in lots of bubble wrap, and stuff the sides of the box with cardboard/foam to protect it. dont forget postage insurance

Nup they never send you a box. You have to get one. They will courteously send you it back in another box.

Make sure you use plenty of bubble wrap or newspaper, and wrap the hell out of the box in packing tape.

Mine broke down again, surprise surprise, so i have to wrap it up and send it off. Usually they dont even bother fixing yours they just send you a new one. I didnt send mine off with its harddrive the first time, and they sent it back with one!

But tis bull**** they keep breaking down
