    does anyone know if you can buy this stuff in cans or bottles anywhere?

    The only time I have ever seen Bulmers is at Pugg Mahones in Melbourne, and that was on tap. Most bottlos could probably order it in for you

    ive worked in numerous bottleshops across WA and both those products are available over here. Magners more so.

    i managed to find some, and also scored a free hat when i bouht 2 bottles. the hat has a built in bottle opener

    I think I've seen it at Dan Murphy's, but it's a bit on the exxy side to drink all the time - usually buy Mercury or Gaymers if I'm away from home... but make my own to drink at home, at around 8-9% alcohol it's pretty good!!

    Don't want to hijack the thread, but what do you use to sweeten your cider? mine always come out dry as! Unless of course thats how you enjoy it.

    I like it a little on the drier side, but still add 250g Lactose (a non-fermenting milk sugar), you could add more if you like it sweeter. I also use juice (apple and pear) instead of all water and adjust the dextrose to compensate for the sugar in the juice. 500g of light malt also adds a nice body similar to that of irish and scrumpy ciders. I've also added pureed/chopped apple and a cinnamon stick to different batches. Strongbow seems bland to me now!! (I've heard you can also add pear liquer essence in the final stages of fermentation for flavour)
