hey guys i just had a thought pop into my head. im rather happy with the colour of my car the only thing is that it has a few blemishes in the paintjob and i know i wont be able to match a harlequin colour. the blemishes are all on the bottom half of the car... so i was thinking i will get the bottom half of my car resprayed in silver just like the calais. and anyone really good at photoshop the colour im after is the silver on the bottom half of a vl calais
any attempts will be greatly appreciated
also does anyone know how much this would cost me.. im not too bothered if its a closed door respray as then when you open the doors you can see the harlequin well thanks alot
iv got a vs calais, i could crop my silver trip onto your car, is that ok?
not a problem, ill have a crack tomorrow on my lunch brake
i had a crack, it's not perfect so see what everyone else does.

i just selected the bit to change using the polygonal selection tool (the selection tool you can click to make shapes)
then when i had the rough area i wanted to change, i made a copy of the original layer, then on the new layer i inverted that selection (ctrl I) so that everything but the l lower half bit was selected and deleted it, so now i had the original image, and a layer with only the lower part.
then after fine tuning the lower part, i played with the colour values/brightness contrast and ****.
there's possibly different/easier ways to do it (i used masking, but that's too insane to explain here) and i've alway found silver to be a hard colour to do.
