idiot i agree, but sounds to good to be true tho
then again it is in saudi arabia, who knows what ther rules are![]()
I'd believe it....I know a young local cop here which I busted doing a burnout.....he thought no one was around. I only saw his car tho, I guess he might not have been driving. I know he also breath tested a P plater which resulted in an alcohol reading but let him go. But I guess that's nothing too serious....it could of been .01 or sumfin. I'm on my full licence and I stress about driving 3 hours after having 2 beers lol.

Lol, funny stuff, just remind me never to go there for a holiday LOL.
Why is he an idiot? You're all jealous because he can race the cops and get away with it. Saudi Arabia sounds like a great place to drive! Cheap petrol too!![]()
Yep, and lots of street racers. I'm not jealous of people who are more likely to kill innocent drivers. I'd much rather live in Australia anyway.

.. chances are that they have enough money to not worry about profiting as much from as we do from traffic offences
Plus I reckon they shoe-horn LS1's into everything with/without wheels![]()

Driving is the most dangerous daily activity most would undertake. I don't understand how anyone could seriously say such a comment like this.
Sure there is illness, war and whatever else in the world. But there are very few activities that most adults undertake on a daily basis that where a second of misjudgement could result in your own or someone elses death or serious injury.
Believe it or not, breaking traction or speeding on public roads is dangerous.
haha, thanks for the race - if you had of known you were racing I'm sure you wouldn't have let him in :P
Sounds awesome, heaps of idiot calls.. You lot are harsh.
It's all good, they will all be dead sooner or later from road tolls![]()

I never suggested that driving "isn't dangerous" - I'm sure we will all agree that it is, on a race track, road or otherwise- Merely that there are many other things that are very harmful to people in general - (i.e. fighting, terrorist attacks, smoking, drug abuse... - etc) and different areas of the world place a 'different priority', if you may, on what is good/bad for us. (refer to shounak's post re: india..... how many people die of HIV/AIDS there? how many in Aus from car crashes?......)
In Saudi Arabia, for example - where it's 'seemingly ok/accepted' to drag race a copper, You'd likely get thrown in jail for having a cold beer on a Friday after work. - I wonder how many people are affected by alcohol related violence?...
.... so in summary, I wasn't saying:
"go do burnouts because it's safe 'yo",
as much as
"Let's not call this guy an idiot because we see crashed P plate commodores on today tonight"
- I suppose I should have been a bit more clear/direct in my original post
And on the same note, I find it fascinating that the 'value of a human life' changes so drastically from continent to continent!
I've never seen such advertising, I've only seen advertising that explains the risks both with the law and human life. In any case, it's to get the point across and I support whichever way they do that. It is a dangerous activity and you're not only putting your own life at risk.
In that culture it's also the woman's fault if she gets raped and she needs 8 witnesses to prove her innocence, do you agree with that?
And you don't think all those things aren't being targetted? I see drugs, alcohol and smoking ad's on TV all the time. Our country is heavily focussed on national security, and there are initiatives in place to prevent the transmission of STD's. Are you saying the government should only put their focus on one of these issues at a time, because as it stands they are all being addressed. Plenty of people die or get seriously injured in car crashes every year, we have one of the highest per capita death tolls in the world on our roads. But I guess you're right there are more important issues to be addressed because you're sick of seeing the "propagandha".
Are you seriously trying to say Saudi Arabia have better priorities for law enforcement than Australia? That'll do me, try living in that 3rd world country and tell me they've got it right.
In summary nothing in your post has made me think any higher of your original post, in fact it paints your attitude in a far worse picture.
