Default Thief Dies in Stolen Car

A STOLEN utility has ploughed into a tree in central Victoria, killing the driver.

The ute struck the tree beside Allies Road at Maiden Gully, near Bendigo, 150km north-west of Melbourne, shortly after midnight (AEST).
It was reported stolen from a nearby City of Greater Bendigo council depot about 10.20pm yesterday.
"At this stage, investigating members have been unable to identify the driver and may not be able to for some time," Victoria Police spokesman Senior Constable David Fitzgerald said.
Victoria's annual road toll is 110, 12 more than at the same time last year.
Just curious, does anyone have any sympathy at all for these thieving little bastards that kill themselves taking someone else's property?
For me it is the perfect punishment, Thieves are right down there with pedos and druggies. It's a pity cars don't have a self destruct mode when the car is stolen that forces it into a tree at high speed.

I know I may sound harsh to some of you do gooders out there, but it is because of you do gooders that our justice system is ****ed and the most a thief will get usually is a slap on the wrist.

Totally agree mate. Nothing gives them the right to touch anyone else's property at all without consent, so in saying that, i wouldn't care if all theives were killed the instant they stole.

Maybe not all, I stole 20 cents once to play excitebike at the pinny parlour, got me 2 games and 4 chocolate frogs(around 1983/4). Boy did i cop it when i got back to the caravan(used to stay at torquay caravan park on xmas holidays). 2 canings of dads belt, and a belt across both my hands.

Never stole anything again lol. People say this kind of punishment is cruel...****ing bull**** it is, it works it solves a problem before it is actually an issue and 99% of the time most people won't do it again. I can still remember the pain of my ass cheeks and how it hurt for more than 2 days lol.

No. Fail. You die too. Nah just kidding, that's a bit Jeff Marsh!!

But, i'll agree with you, once i took a few mates down to the Island and we stayed in our familys house down in Ventnor, and mum has this massive jar of change in the cuboard she adds to all the time and we take it to the bank once a year and change it into notes, anyway, a mate brought a mate along, and we went for a walk down to the servo for some food, we get back and this sneaky little ****er is going through the change jar trying to pick out the gold coins from it.

I belted him a beauty in the eye, haven't seen him in 4 years. That takes care of THAT problem

Not if it's your car that get used... they should just lay on the rail-track and wait for the midnight express.

Make it happen. I'd happily sacrifice my car to effectively take another criminal off the streets. Mind you I'd want to be reimbursed.

I think it falls into the catagory of "occupational hazzard". Just the same as it should be no great shock to a burgler who gets smacked over the back of his head with a base ball bat while inside robbing somebodies house.

Yeah, and he used to give what he stole to the poor. He never stole someone elses horse, stripped off all the riding gear, saddle, girth, bridle etc, and used them to do up his own horse then kill/burn/smash up the stolen horse......

    that can be arranged

but really the thief does deserve to be punished, death imo is a little extreme, people can change, thats not to say im sorry for him or anything.

IMO its a good karma outcome. but whats the bet the family of the low life scum bags sues the owner of the car for something like - the vehicle having low tread causing the car to lose control. or the car had too much power. its the world we live in now. a theif breaks into your house and breaks a leg he sues you for the medical bills i mean WTF?
