new car!

Got my new car 2day... iv ventured outside the holden family for the first time (not 100% by choice). i am now the owner of a BA mkII 6sp manual XR6T. hell stoked, drives like a dream. would have loved a clubby but insurance was $5500 (only $2200 with the XR) and iv got a car thats 4 years newer for the same price. will post pics as soon as i pick her up.

yeh i know, i wish holden made a decent S/C or Turbo six but since they dont and i wanted a fairly quick car then an Ford was bout my only option (stuff Jap cars). At my age with a minor claim 2 my name insurance isnt my friend

The guy i bought it of said it gets about 14L/100km in heavy city driving (start stop every few meters) highway he said it gets bout 11.5-12L/100km (gota luv 6spd!) but il be intrested to see what kinda figures i get.

The guy i bought it of said it gets about 14L/100km in heavy city driving (start stop every few meters) highway he said it gets bout 11.5-12L/100km (gota luv 6spd!) but il be intrested to see what kinda figures i get.

First of all congratulations!
my parents have a na bf2 xr6 with the 6 speed auto and we get around 13.9L/100km in city driving (only 7000kms on the clock + my heavy right foot). Your figures sound pretty good.

good choice! i upgraded my VS calais for a BA XR6 (non turbo damn insurance!!) couple years ago and never looked back. I wanted to stay with holden but they couldnt weigh up to what i was getting in my ford...still wants LSX one day tho...ford BOSS motors have nothing on LSX
