    Default Stolen: VP Commodore

Stolen outside my house this morning. 28/04/08 at approx 5am i think from Hawthorn, Vic

    REGO: PIB 802

    Distinguishable features:
    - VN Group A Wing/rear bumper
    - Holden sticker on front windscreen
    - monster tacho in dash
    - 17" VT SS rims (NOT VY SS as in picture)
    - Ecotec transplant (twin throttle manifold distinguishable)
    - Autotechnica black and red bucket seats in front
    - scrappy sony xplod stereo
    - custom 3" exhaust with pacie extractors
    - left hand indicator light broken
    - manual tranny

Ok, my guess is someone off this forum or Str eet Commodores has stolen it. There were between $3-$4000 worth of carpentry tools in the boot. I'm a first year apprentice, earning $20,000 a year, trying to save up for a house. If anyone reading this stole it, please, return the tools, don't care about the car, just drop the tools off where you stole it from, no questions asked, fingerprints won't be taken, I just want them back.

If anyone in Vic see's it, give me a call on 0400073387 or notify the police.

    thanks,
    Rob

**** dude, i work in Burwood, so i'll keep an eye out for it this week. Dirty bastards! I still don't understand what thieves think gives them the right to take other peoples property. If i see it out, i will follow the prick for ya!

Oh hell, that sucks mate, why do you think it was some one off the forum? Just cause they know what parts and stuff ur car hard that are worth so much?

Hopefully you at least get your tools back mate, getting car back would be good too
Good luck! I will keep my eye open (not from your area but you never know where the thief came from)

yeh basically because they know I have the parts, and i think I stupidly mentioned I keep tools in the boot on here and SC a few times as well...

may well not be though, I went looking round the streets nearby and there was a maroon VQ Stato 2 streets away with its drivers window smashed in.

Best of luck getting the tools (and hopefully the car as well!) back. Have you been to the cops yet and reported it? Make sure they know about the tools, also...there is a chance they may somehow end up in another stolen car or whatever...best of luck.

yeh have notified them and insurance company, all the tools had my name (Robert Bosher) engraved into them, but they'll probably just grind that off...

guy on SC reckons he saw it around the geelong area, so if locals down there could keep a bit of an eye out would be much appreciated.

will be a reward for any valuable info resulting in its finding

mate, if you dont get it back and you dont have comprehensive insurance, you will be able to claim your tools on home and contents insurance. i know its just another claim, and more excess, but at least you will get the tools.
i know it works, i claimed my watch and skateboard which i never got back when my car got stolen 2 weeks ago.

nup, home and content insurance specifically states it doesn't cover tools lost in a car. would be different if it was personal items, which sucks arse. doesn't make much sense hey?

I could have (potentially) a $50,000 piece of jewellery in my car which if it was stolen would be covered under home & contents, yet if I had a $200 power saw stolen out of the car it's not covered.
