I've been thinking of posting this for a while now, but anyway, I agree with the above statement.
The other day I went in to our local cop shop to report something to the cops. (for several reasons I'm keeping the details pretty much private, though other Bundy people can feel free to PM me and ask me for more details)
Anyway, basically, they didn't care. This is despite the fact that this person is known to the cops, and to a few people I know to be dangerous, and they still couldn't give a rats ass. I'm guessing they probably don't care since they can't make $$$ from it - I'll bet that had I gone in to report a 17 year old P plater speeding through an old people's estate in a modified V8 Commodore, the outcome would've been quite different, but because it wasn't, basically they couldn't care less.
Not happy Jan!![]()

Unless your wanting to have them charged whats the point of going there?
If your unhappy with the level of service, write to the ombudsman.

Yep, then watch the person who govz knows to be dangerous, turn around and **** him over by having HIM charged. Not the best risk to take.
It's a burgler breaking into someone's house, injuring themselves, then suing the owner of the house they broke into and winning. It's a massive FAIL. Stick to the book and eventually, something will happen.

Hard to really put it into perspective without knowing what happened I guess.
I had to laugh I went out to a town not far from here and the police station was shut, apparently it's only open between certain hours on certain days. Sucked haha, I thought I'd go in and ask for directions to a street and they were shut.
Anyway, what happened - swing me a PM if you want.
Im in the vecinity of maryborough.
Not quite. Reporting something like that, you would have received a worst reception. It drives me nuts sometimes when someone walks in saying, "I just saw someone driving like an idiot and talking on their phone. What are you doing to do about it?", or the famous road rage incident where the offending driver "cut me off" <---- reason for the road rage starting
Obviously I don't know the circumstances of this incident. This offender could be that well known to them that they're all sick of dealing with them. Was this matter relatively minor or trivial and not yield much in the way of evidence or even any real successful prosecution?
I find it disappointing sometimes the service people receive when they say "the coppers don't give a sh*t" in the cases where that is true. Some coppers have this bad habit of letting their other frustrations out upon other people they're dealing with, being their current divorce proceedings, bosses on their back for overdue paperwork, phones ringing all day and being asked stupid questions on said phone and over the counter.
a couple of years ago i was driving home on the freeway in busy traffic and this guy in a BMW was driving like Nick Heidfeld - weaving like crazy, speeding, cutting everyone off - almost took my front end off at 100 km/h.
normally i'm not the complaining type but i thought this was an exception - i took his rego and called the cops. the officer sounded unimpressed but promised he'd call the guy and give him a please explain. do you guys actually call or is that just to get me off the phone?
The guy is known to Police, and from what I've experienced myself in the past, and heard from other people, basically, the guy is a disaster waiting to happen. For the record, it was actually a receptionist that served me. Last year I had to go and report something, and I was served by a police officer, and she was really good, but clearly this receptionist couldn't give a ****. Its great to see that our taxes and our fines go towards such great service.![]()

They had a sweet HZ wagon. Early 80's.
Anyway, they were watching tv one night when the wagon mysteriously starts up & goes for a drive all by itself!
So they rang the copshop & told them what had happened. Said the car will be going past the front door in 3 minutes.
Cop says they cant do anything unless they have a complaint in writing! WTF?
Ouch!!! Was the wagon ever seen again?![]()

I sometimes tell the complainant that IF I am able to find a phone number I will call and let the registered owner know that complaints have been made and that they should pull their head in. That's IF a phone number can be found. I will also only do that IF the complainant is happy with that, and most of the time they are.
Here they visita police officer knocked on the door looking for Craig maybe 6 years ago but he wasn't home, so he left a card. Craig rang them later in the day and some bloke had complained about him failing to stop at a red light and fish tailing down the road at the corner of Belvedere & Hardy rd in Redcliffe, Craig filled the officer in on the fact that there is NO red lights at the intersection and that was it, he wasn't even questioned about the fishies....
The wagon was stolen 4 times in total. Long story.
The last time it was stolen, it was never seen again.
