Not sure if this should go here or in the Motorsport section, feel free to move it.
Just watching the racing on tv today from Wakefield and thought I'd read up on these little babies.
They are powered by a 1.2 litre 125 BHP twin cam 16 valve engine that revs to 11500 RPM! I assume this is a bike engine?
Power to weight, they lapped Oran Park within 6 seconds of a V8 Supercar. Not to shabby.
Toyota are entering a factory Team, Aussie Racing Cars, I wonder how long it will be before HRT and FPV or even Mitsubishi enter a team?

"No, I'm not a pessimist. At some point the world shits on everybody. Pretending it ain't shit makes you an idiot, not an optimist."
they are honda blackbird engines i thought i read once.
i reckon it would hurt if you crashed one of those into the wall
Great racing format - Huge success. Upto 3 & 4 wide at times into corners AND get through. Luv em.
The engins are built and sealed by the people that build the cars. I think you can buy a car and ship it around yourself of just turn up on the weekend and go for a spin.
It's spit into to groups now - the oldies and new models.

Blackbird engines huh? I assumed they were Yammy FJ1200 engines, but that wasn't based on anything official.
Great racing though!
BTW, has anyone seen the "Camrys" that compete in the Nascar series?? LOL!! Yeah, that's a Camry all right .... Toyota toss-pots.... (off topic I know, but I had to say something)
