    Angry nevery buying one again

Well that’s it, **** Holden they are ****ing pieces of ****,

i used to love these things, why ? **** knows I must be brain damaged I’ve had 7 in the past 4 years, all low mileage all late model, the newer I go the more trouble I have.

My current has given me trouble since we bought it in December last year, spent $$$$$$$$$$$$ on the front end to get this clunking problem fixed, had it diagnosed at pedders and still same problem.

so cya bitches once/if i can sort this problem I’m going to get rid of it and never again will i own anything that has even a vague resemblance to a Holden id be better of with a ****ing push bike

Any Commodore after a VX is gay anyway. Early model Commo's FTW!

That doesn't surprise me either dude, VN - VP Buicks. Less crap on the car ='s less crap to go wrong. Go and buy a 5 litre VN or VP

Nah go buy the 100 series, bloody beautiful car to ride in, so comfortable plenty of room, handles nicely on the road, and an excellent performer off road, would easily be the best off road wagon. Only new 4wd id rather have over the 100 series and thats the 78/9 series. Wish i could afford a nice 4wd

Dont go to pedders to look at your suspension, they dont have a clue.

There should be someone there that knows what they're doing. If you were in Melb I could have given you a contact.

my grandparents used to own a VN commo that had easy over 700,000km on it with the orig motor and box (they were all country k's tho) and it was going well when they sold it

my old man has had 3 ss's (vt,vy,vz) never had a problem with any of them

then theres my VX which has been in my family for 5 years... again not a problem

then theres my mums new VE commo sv6 that is yet to have a problem

You seem to go through cars too quickly... 7 cars in 4 years is alot !!! I take it for granted used cars will have some problems that'll need sorting out no matter what brand and I try to suss all the faults out before parting with cash for them. But yeah as cars get more complex they're more likely to play up... The most reliable Holden I've owned was a one owner VK 304...with 80,000km... I thrashed the daylights out of it for 5 years and only ever needed to buy a battery for it. I usually hang on to a car for at least 5 years so I get the value out of doing any repairs to them. If I was buying a family car between 1998-2006 I'd look at a Ford first... the independent suspension on the sedans was far superior.

$90 for a coil pack and the only reason i got the mechanic to do it was because i was working so much and was left with no option, lol.

Wouldn't get rid of my Senator for quids, if anything I'd buy another Vy model. One of the sexiest holdens ever produced imho.

Make that 5 lemons then mate

My last vy was a berlina with 25 thousand kms on the clock .

1 owner full service history, bought from a dealership car was in as new condition inside and out .

Severe front end vibration at high speeds.

Transmission ****ing out fluid from the front main seal.

After they fixed the trans leak 5000 kms later it began to surge into second gear and clunk into drive.

Also had the common vy steering wheel shudder at low speed.

Few globes were blown here n there.

    Inaccurate trip computer.

Ended up selling it back to the dealer 6 months down the track
For close to what i paid for it.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------

My vs Ute needed an overhaul at low mileage.

My vs sedan chewed a full tank of petrol for around 200 - 250 kms, all the obvious things were changed, went to a few mechanics including Holden dealership.

my vt I spent $3000 trying to fix a rough idle/stall problem, ended up being a $10 purge hose after changing every other ****ing thing in the bay going to 2 Holden dealers and an auto electrician and a couple large garages.

Vs stato 5.0L v8, to many problems to list lots of suspension trouble, lots of mechanical trouble engine diff and trans, very slow, used lots of petrol, sounded nice though.

Vx wasn’t to bad i guess, the front rotors and callipers were rooted, car got written off by a drunk driver before we could fix it. didnt have it long enough to really tell.

All of these cars were under 150 thousand kms; all were pretty close to immaculate inside and out.

the vn was a piece of **** inside and out i had a thermostat go on me in the 2 years I owned it I used to hammer it treat it like a piece of ****,

And I pussyfooted all these other cars when they were on the road
