that thing would kill any stock and mildly worked v6 commodore in a drag or burnout comp, there an absolute weapon. my best party trick in onw of those is doing 50 kay an hour and planting it in first with the brake on, instant twin wheeled fishies and donuts!

Just to make it look a bit better really. No heavy mods are going to be done.

I'm not a big fan of those excessively large rims nor chrome so 18's will do fine. I don't understand how people like those chrome grills for the lux. I hate 'em.

If we find a pot of gold, we may stick a s/c on it. Thats the dream anyway.

They also come with a $65000 price tag. I'd buy a clubby or maloo instead.

Nice car. The only thing letting it down is the stockies. :P

For the record, we have a '95 Hilux, 4 cylinder 2.5L diesel dual cab 4WD...its not a bad car to drive, only problems are that its as gutless as all Hell, plus I can't stand the "riding up high" position, and don't know why the hell people buy 4WDs just because of it!!! (not saying that anyone here does, just that most yuppies buy 'em simply for the high driving position)

Another problem with the Hilux is that I can't drive it without my parents in the car, and its kind of...REALLY not fun driving with someone sitting in the passenger seat that will scream at just about anything

that shouldnt worry you, you will never have fun in a hilux with a 3L engine in it, even if its turboed, and especially if its 4wd

the new hiluxes are pretty darn nice, those 4litres are that quiet at idle it makes them sound like they need valve adjustments, only down side is there pretty thirsty,

yes there can be a lot of fun to be had with these newer toyotas as they dont tune the computers with as many restrictions as our belovered holden do., ie take a 200killawasp klugar for a test drive on a free weekend if you dont believe me, it would eat a territory, falcon, commodore

another hilux the same as yours except manual lives out at our council tip, it had to have a arb rear diff locker fitted to it as it finds it hard to get traction sometimes

i like the TRD hilux's, but i dont think the 225kw is powerfull enough for me would of thought it would of been a bit higher being a special model and all.

exactly and for the premium you pay for the trd products like 65,000 for the hilux you could buy a sr5 for 40, and add 25 in mods, can you imagine how insane that would be?
