so you a ford laser drove up the arse of you, and the laser was towing?

Also this thread is useless without pictures.

if I can find a way to get images up, I will. For now I'll just sit here and cry.

I hope it's not a writeoff, it's not too bad on the surface... but god knows what chasis rail horrors lie beneath.

I found out a few years ago that they're capable of speeding, amazingly. Back in 2005 a few mates and I were speeding through Rocky in a clapped out 1980's Laser. The thing had been to the moon and back, and was basically ready for a demolition derby, but even so, with 6 mostly overweight adults in the car and a bootload of shopping, the thing could still do 80 in a 60 zone haha

So yeah, they are more than capable of towing

Yeah, she's written off for sure. She scooped me up from behind. Her radiator's almost horizontal, and the bonnet looks like a pyramid.

Yeah, but they were a nice couple. Friendly people... I don't wish bad on them.

Traffic on the Riverside Expressway is hell at the best of times - I mean, they ****ed up badly, but their night is worse than mine. At least I drove home.

Still, I'm buggered if they don't repair the VP. I have NO money...

bl morton, i had to deal with the insurance company trying to write off my VN last week after it was stolen, when the only things wrong with it were a removed rear quater window and a ****ed ignition. $900 damage to a VN with a market value of nearly $2.5 (absolute minter)

i know how it feels waiting for the news, it sucks. keep us informed mate, i hope you get her back.

hahaha yes, I drive down that road every now and again in the work ute. Queensland roads in general, and the driving attitude displayed on them, are well below par.

    Lasers also shouldn't drive fullstop.

Pics don't do it justice. Everything is out of whack. 1cm gaps are now 3cm gaps, and the chasis twisted so much the tail-lights have snapped their screws and popped out.

As you can see, the exhaust has a new press-bend over the axle. Touching hard up against the panhard rod now. That just gives you an idea of how hard I was it, that it just pulled the exhaust all the way down. With all my might, I can't bend it straight. It's stuck down that low.

Everything behind the bumper is out of shape, and the boot doesn't open or shut without a lot of argument. >.<
