my miss's parents bought a 4WD from the ford company but its the promotional cars get it cheaper because her brothers work there anyway they just sold it on the weekend to find out they supposdly owed higher finance but the had already bought it outright and paid every cent of it so they went in 2 ford 2 find out what was goin on to which they where told that 6 of the exactly the same car had exactly the same vin number and they had forgot 2 put the last number on the vin plate shes still sorting it out now and she cant sell the car until its fixed its a major hassle and could cost her the sale.

Funny, but it proves nothing. I'd still drive a BA XR8 or XR6T ute over any commodore past a VX.

Ugly cars though. I like my car to look good as well. Anything past a VX IMO is butt ugly.

$87 million loss for Ford Australia (May 2008)
$87 million loss for Ford Australia – Car Reviews, News & Advice - CarPoint Australia
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
President Bill Osborne describes 2007 as "a challenging year"
Ford has announced a loss for the 2007 fiscal year that more than doubles the previous financial year's loss.
The company had reported a $40 million loss for 2006 (more here), but that figure pales in comparison with the $87.2 million after-tax loss for 2007.
"Ford Australia experienced a challenging year in 2007, with the ongoing transition of our product mix contributing to lower sales volume and market share," said Ford Australia President, Bill Osborne.
"We continued to make significant investments in our facilities that will help secure the long-term future of Ford in Australia. These will further establish our business as a centre of automotive design and engineering excellence in the development of class-leading vehicles for Australia and overseas markets."
The company's sales decline in 2007 (6894 fewer units sold) was not as bad as it had been in 2006 -- when Ford sold over 14,000 units less than the total for 2005.
In addition to the lower sales for 2007, Ford has likely accounted for a substantial part of the development costs of the FG Falcon this year, further subtracting from the net revenue of $3.3 billion.
With a full year of sales ahead of the Ranger light commercial and the new Falcon range, Ford will be looking forward to a better year in 2008.

well my mates ba xr6 has more rust in his car than my vn and mine was left out in the weather
Plain and simple you ford bashers are idiots. I owned a falcon, i loved it, i owned a commodore i loved it. simple as that.
They made a mistake and so does many others places such as holden or whatever.
Oh so what your mates BAXR6 had more rust? My mates VN was filled with rust and that thing was garaged.
damm striaght, ford havnt quite managed to get there body coatings quite good enough yet,
i did some work on an el wagon the other week, the thing was falling apart, it needed new window winders, they use a plastic splined handle on steel splined shaft, the plastic splies were munched, and guess what, ford have stoped stoking them as a spare part,
the bottoms of the door were rusted out, the little metal panel between the top strut mount had a large hole through it, numerous hardoned/broken plastics, just falling apart,
and it was only 9-10 years old
